Knowledge Base - Determining the IP address on a Desk, Cordless, or Conference Phone [Yealink]

The easiest way to determine the IP address of a desk phone or conference phone is to use the menu on the phone.

  1. You need to start from the home screen. If on a call, you may need to press 'End call', back, exit etc. until you're back on the home screen.

  2. If the default behavior is enabled, simply press OK and you will go to the Status screen.

  3. Some key functions can be changed, if OK does not work, return to the home screen and use the Menu soft key.

  4. Select Status (on a graphical phone, the icon with a blue circle and the letter "i" in the middle) and press OK.

  5. The phone will show IP: and the IP address.

On cordless phones (W56H) the IP address of the base can be determined as well. From the idle screen:

  1. Press OK button.

  2. Press 1 for Status, or OK again.

  3. Press 1 for Base, or OK again.

  4. The handset will communicate with the base, and confirm the current IP address. If you are unable to communicate with the base the information may be blank. Simply try again or change your location to improve signal and repeat.

On a cordless conference phone (CP930W) the IP address of the base can be determined similarly. From the idle screen:

  1. Press the Menu soft key.

  2. Press 1 for Status, or OK again.

  3. Press 1 for Base, or OK again.

  4. The conference phone will communicate with the base, and confirm the current IP address. If you are unable to communicate with the base the information may be blank. Simply try again or change your location to improve signal and repeat.
