Knowledge Base - How do I adjust call volume and muting? [Yealink]

Adjusting Call Volume

To adjust the volume while you are on a call:

  • Press + (or larger speaker icon) on the Volume button to increase the volume.

  • Press - (or smaller speaker icon) to decrease the volume.

All Yealink wired phones have dedicated Volume Up / Down keys. Tapping the Volume Up / Down key changes the volume of:

  • the ring tone if the phone is idle
  • the handset when it is in use
  • the speakerphone when it is in use
  • the headset (if applicable) when it is in use

Most phones will display options to Save or Cancel the change using soft keys.

Cordless phones do not have dedicated volume buttons - the navigation pad is used to set volume. Press Left to decrease or press Right to increase volume, then press the Save softkey.

Using Mute

To mute the phone microphone, speaker, or headset microphone, press the Mute button on the phone.

A status message will indicate the call is muted.

Press the Mute button again to unmute.
